Annual #PublicUseRestrictions will go into effect June 1-Oct. 15 on portions of the Crooked, Deschutes, John Day, & White Rivers, as well as on BLM-administered lands along Lake Billy Chinook & Lake Simtustus.

Ignitions are complete on the Ann’s Butte Rx. Firefighters have transitioned to mop-up, securing the perimeter of the burn unit.
🔥Ignitions on Ann’s Butte Rx are 50% complete. Prescribed fire operations are divided into two groups—firing, the folks lighting the fire, and holding (pictured), those who monitor the area known as the “green,” the area outside of the prescribed fire unit.
🔥Test fire on the Ann’s Butte Rx is favorable & ignitions are proceeding. This prescribed fire is part of a multi-year project to protect the Upper Deschutes River Communities from wildfire & is part of the UDR Community Wildfire Protection Plan.
